WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As an Associate Director, you will manage the day-to-day functions within the Strategy/ Client Services Team to ensure that Clients receive work that reflects Touché’s standards in a timely fashion.
Main responsibilities:
Client Liaison
• Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure that needs are being fulfilled, and direct staffing resources to specific tasks
• Maintain a solid understanding of client business to be able to affect solid media solutions.
• Supervise team in the planning, development, and presentation of integrated media recommendations.
• Work with the AVP/Vice-President to ensure that clients are aware of emerging media trends and XLR8 tools as it affects their business
• Maintain harmonious working relationships with the clients’ stakeholders (e.g. Creative Agencies).
• Support the AVP/ VP in the creation of team operating budgets
Client Service Team Administration
• Work with the AVP/Vice-President to ensure that Strategy teams are properly staffed to meet Client needs profitably.
• Work with other AD’s to establish work assignments within the Strategy team.
• Conduct regular status meetings with appropriate members of the Strategy Team to ensure that work is generated to Touché’s standards and that deadlines are met.
• Work with the AVP/Vice-President to monitor Client revenue and provide forecast input as required by Finance.
• Act as a mentor to the Strategy team to ensure that an environment for positive career development exists.
• Create and encourage team spirit and observance of Touché’s Values
• Actively share knowledge with the entire Touché team. (conduct sessions about research, presentation skills, mentoring etc)
Internal Touché Management
• Actively participate in regular meetings among Directors to develop means of improving process at Touché and provide regular status of progress to Senior Management.
• Co-ordinate with other AD’s to ensure that Touché initiatives (Corporate Estimating, Media Landscape) are undertaken as necessary.
• Focus on joint team dedicated to outstanding media insight, innovation and value to clients.
• Be aware of inventory opportunities in corporate portfolio group to meet the needs of the Strategy teams.
• Keep abreast of the media industry and the changing dynamics.
• Provide best practice and policies to Strategy/Client Service Teams.
New Business
• Provide support for senior management by ensuring that the Strategy team maintains its commitment to the New Business program
• Provide regular publicity opportunities on client work
Required skills / competencies
• A solid understanding of the Media business is essential, from both a strategic and execution perspective.
• A basic understanding of marketing and advertising is necessary.
• Minimum of 6 years Media Industry experience.
• Superior personnel development skills are essential. Must be an effective motivator, delegator, and demonstrate an ability to mentor staff at all levels.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills are mandatory.
• Must have a passion for the Media business that is readily apparent to both internal and external audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and rigor
• Creativity and sense of innovation.
• Strong Leadership skills.
