What you will be doing
Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the Human Resources Manager is the primary point of contact related to human resource management policies, procedures, employment law and fundamentals of all core areas of human resources, providing day-to-day support in recruiting, staffing, on-boarding, performance management and training & development.

- Support HR Generalist in all areas of the HR function by providing support and guidance where required.
- Act as the primary point of service contact for the leadership group and employees on interpreting human resource policies, procedures, and practices.
- Support and execute all human resources related action changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and cost center changes, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and according to established deadlines.
- Identify and apply tactics to ensure engagement and alignment of employees across the organization ensuring organization effectiveness and efficiency.
- Partner with leaders in developing effective structures, systems, processes, and skills to support their business goals and talent requirements.
- Discuss training requirements with departmental heads to improve skills throughout the company.
- Identify appropriate learning and development solutions for individuals, teams, and organizations supported; work with leaders and employees to create meaningful development and career plans.
- Support our people culture plan focusing on the right person in the right role.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the recruitment process, including reviewing job descriptions, screening of CV’s, attending interviews and selecting candidates.
- Support our Regional HR function in rolling out our global HR Development strategy locally.
- Demonstrate our culture and Rhenus values in the daily HR work.
- Monitor HR legal and government requirements to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor the compensation and benefits programs to ensure internal and external consistency, ensuring annual renewal falls in line with company budgets while maintaining a competitive compensation package for employees and potential new hires.
- Lead country wide Health & Safety and Sustainability programs.
- Administer benefit plan and be the main point of contact for all inquiries, changes, or concerns.
- Provide support and coaching to front line managers regarding Human Resources policies, practices, performance management, and interpretation.
- Be proactive and anticipate requirements while working on various projects and/or supporting management.
What skills & experience you will bring to us
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably within Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehousing
- Practical knowledge of HR operations including performance management, succession planning, talent planning, competency development, compensation, employee relations, and talent analytics
- Experience in leading people and providing guidance where needed
- Strong knowledge of all legislative requirements within Canada
- Demonstrate an ability in team building and experience in successfully leading projects in the HR
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, and government law
- Ability to understand business plans and to develop impactful HR solutions in response to those plans
- Able to communicate clearly and confidently with all individuals both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and multiple deadlines
- Ability to travel between facilities within the GTA (when/as required)
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Able to plan and prioritize effectively and proactively

- You will receive a permanent full-time contract with a 40-hour work week
- You will have 15 vacation days per year
