- Various Daily Transaction reports
- Review of reports from plants (production) to ensure all reports are received and sent out in a timely manner, are complete and accurate
- Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Sustainability Reporting
- Health and Safety Support
- Month end procedures and reports
- Assist drivers, walk in customers, and coordinate deliveries into the plant.
- Plant staff coordination and implementation of new PO system.
- P.O. entry. Purchasing supplies and services for the plant and office.
- Weekly Barkie inventory numbers to Salmon Arm group. Work closely with framers to watch what they are classing and scaling daily. Send all classing reports to Salmon Arm so they can update our WW inventory
- Firewood and counter sales
- Assist Manager with Plant events and other group activities.
- Understand and utilize product specifications to efficiently enter all transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned
LOGISTICS DUTIES
- Manage and schedule incoming/outgoing freight as required.
- Record shipments in dispatch software, generating all required paperwork for shipments (bill of lading, customs papers, freight charges, etc.). Forward paperwork as necessary to all appropriate individuals, internal and external.
- Verify outbound freight against bill of lading in conjunction with plant personnel to ensure the accuracy of documents.
- Manage CAN/US intercompany shipments.
- Monitor railcar pipeline and demurrage charges.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and transportation team to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor the order file to maintain on-time shipments.
- Resolve issues related to service deliveries, claims, directions, driver paperwork, Transport Canada regulations and permits.
- Proactively provide updates to sales staff and customers regarding any shipment issues or delays.
- Optimize loads with available equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
