Career Transitions, LLC is currently recruiting, on behalf of a client in Harrow, Ontario Canada, to help fill an Engineering Technologist / Designer for this industrial manufacturer.

Specific Responsibilities:

• 3D CAD modeling design - SolidWorks
• Product design & calculations conforming to all product safety regulations and guidelines
• Application engineering – component selection
• Bill of Material setup & maintenance – Epicor
• Assist manufacturing with technical guidance, procedures, formats and processes.
• Assist after-market product support with technical guidance
• Technical writing skills
• Assist technical publications development with technical guidance
• Project Change Management – detail project process and documentation
• Safely operate company forklifts
• Ability to communicate effectively and positively to their team and clients
• Excellent critical thinking with the ability to come up with innovative ideas and develop a reasonable time frame for each project
• Ability to work under pressure and still deliver desired good results within tight deadlines
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Ability to solve problems
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team with the same common goal

Requirements:

College diploma or mechanical engineer OR 5 years’ experience in a similar function utilizing 3D Solid modeling and design with Solidworks. Individuals should be well experienced in facets of product design including engineering principles, technical knowledge and experience utilizing the software.
