We are a reputable law firm specializing in Workers' Compensation law, seeking a motivated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney. This remote position requires occasional in-person appearances for trials and expedited hearings at the WCAB.
Job Description:
As a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney, you will handle workers' compensation claims, represent clients at WCAB hearings, draft legal documents, and communicate regularly with clients and opposing counsel. You will manage case files and work closely with senior attorneys and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients at WCAB hearings, trials, and expedited hearings.
- Provide legal counsel and draft legal documents (pleadings, motions, settlement agreements).
- Manage a caseload and ensure timely communication with clients.
- Conduct legal research and collaborate with medical and vocational experts.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school and admission to the California State Bar.
- 1-2 years of workers' compensation experience preferred; candidates with strong work ethics and communication skills will be considered.
- Knowledge of California Workers' Compensation law is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
