We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Legal Assistant to join our fast-paced team. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with a background in legal administration to further their career in the legal industry. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures, coupled with exceptional administrative skills. The role demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities:
- Preparation of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.
- Conducting legal research to support ongoing cases and legal projects.
- Assisting with the drafting and reviewing of legal briefs and reports.
- Coordinating and scheduling meetings, appointments, and deadlines.
- Managing and maintaining legal files in an organized and efficient manner.
- Liaising with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals on a regular basis.
- Ensuring all legal documents and correspondence are correctly filed and up to date.
- Assisting with the preparation of case strategies and legal arguments.
- Supporting attorneys in court and during legal proceedings as required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within the legal industry.
- Demonstrated experience in legal document preparation and legal research.
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures and court rules.
- Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work output.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A degree in Law, Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred.
