Our dynamic and rapidly expanding firm is seeking a Permanent Senior Credit Analyst to join our Accounting and Finance team. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting detailed credit analysis and risk assessments on potential and existing clients.
2. Approving or rejecting extension of credit based on thorough evaluations.
3. Developing and implementing credit risk policies and procedures.
4. Collaborating with the sales and finance teams to identify potential credit risks and opportunities.
5. Providing recommendations to senior management regarding credit limits and terms.
6. Monitoring the credit quality of the company's portfolio and reporting on trends and potential risks.
7. Participating in the development and improvement of credit risk models.
8. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
9. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in credit analysis or a similar role in the financial industry.
3. Proven experience in approving extension of credit.
4. Strong understanding of financial statements, ratios, and credit risk concepts.
5. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial personnel.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
9. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
