Canon is seeking a Warehouse Safety Specialist to join our team. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of safety experience in a warehouse environment. Relevant certifications required (OSHA, PIV, Forklift Training)

Responsible for creating, implementing, and facilitating warehouse safety programs to reduce incidents in the workplace and promote safety excellence in accordance with OSHA compliance regulations. Additional responsibilities include partnering with leadership to evaluate existing safety practices and related training programs to facilitate continuous improvement of safety initiatives.
- Conduct incident investigations to identify root cause and implement corrective action
- Develop Job Hazard Analysis to identify potential hazards and establish controls
- Consult with corporate safety to drive continuous improvement of safety initiatives
- Develop a site-specific safety improvement plan to enhance workplace safety.
- Conducts ongoing safety training and Train-the Trainer programs.
- Maintain appropriate training and safety certification records
- Utilize the Incident Management System to monitor safety performance and trends.
- Take appropriate actions regarding safety inspection/audit findings or safety incidents.
- Assist with counseling, coaching, and documentation of safety issues.
- Executes the Safety Cadence process to proactively manage safety.
- Conducts regular safety huddle meetings and distributes corporate communications
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of safety experience in a warehouse environment
- 3-5 years of experience designing and facilitating safety training
- OSHA certification
- Forklift Certification (train the trainer)
- Experience conducting workplace incident investigations
- Bachelor's Degree
