Job Summary:
A Straight Truck Driver will provide exceptional customer service as you safely prepare and ensure that our customers' valuables are ready for transportation and delivery.
Pay is between $15.00 - $18.00 / an hour. If no experience all Bobtail drivers start at $15.00/hr.
Reports to:
General Manager or Operations Manager
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead your team by relevant examples, showing them what the core values of the company are all about
  • Greet customers upon arriving at the specified location and complete a walk-through of the premises
  • Take utmost care to ensure we handle customers belongings so that items are not damaged or broken
  • Provide superior customer experience and put customer at ease
  • Complete an efficient pack, load and delivery of all household goods in customers home
  • Disassemble and assemble basic furniture items to include, but not limited to, tables, chairs, bookcases, desks, beds, etc.
  • Ensure to protectively pad and wrap customers belongings for safe transport
  • Carry or dolly items to and from trucks for loading and unloading
  • Prevent careless and costly mistakes, including damage, injury, unhappy customers, lost equipment, etc.
  • Make sure all daily truck inspections are performed and report larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor
  • Clean vehicles thoroughly after every use
  • Reporting to work on time
  • Be a team member, cooperate, and get along with other employees
  • Look, act and be professional - starting with the uniform (shirt tucked in, hat straight, pants at the waist and continuing with your attitude.)
  • Check-in regularly throughout the day with direct supervisor for additional assignments and troubleshooting guidance
  • Utilize Electronic Logging Device (ELD)
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be in good health and physical condition sufficient to lift and carry 50lbs, stand long period of time, and use of loading ramps and stairs while carrying heavy objects
  • Able to perform with repeated climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc.
  • SAFELY operate at all times
  • Communicate professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Valid/Active driver's license
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Must be able to go out of town if necessary
  • Being a part of a team with great attitude and work ethic
  • Flexibility with scheduling
  • Be able to work on weekends
  • Ability to maintain basic logs and records (ELD)
  • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision
