Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday, 3:00 PM – Midnight (approximate)
Overview:
Kojin, an acclaimed fine dining restaurant in Coral Gables, is seeking a professional Host to join our team immediately. Our establishment offers an exceptional tasting menu alongside à la carte options. The ideal candidate will have a background in fine dining, be proficient with reservation systems such as OpenTable and Toast, and possess a guest-facing personality that reflects Kojin's commitment to hospitality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression of Kojin.
- Reservation Management: Efficiently manage reservations using OpenTable and Toast, including checking in guests and adding walk-ins to the system.
- Floor Coordination: Monitor and manage the flow of the dining room, ensuring a seamless experience for guests and timely table turnover.
- Communication: Maintain clear and proactive communication with managers and the service team to optimize operations.
- Service Support: Provide guidance and information to guests regarding the tasting menu and à la carte options, aligning with the Kojin experience.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a fine dining environment is required.
- Familiarity with tasting menus and à la carte service formats.
- Proficiency with OpenTable and Toast systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Availability to work the specified schedule.
Compensation:
- Hourly Pay
- Service Charge Split shared between the FOH and BOH teams.
