Job Description
The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients suffering from alcoholism and addiction disorders, supporting them through detoxification, treatment, and recovery. This position requires a strong commitment to patient advocacy, education, and a deep understanding of addiction medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental health, including addiction history, withdrawal symptoms, and medical conditions.
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on assessments and treatment goals.
Administer medications and treatments prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate dosage and monitoring patient responses.
Monitor patients during detoxification and withdrawal management, providing supportive care and managing withdrawal symptoms effectively.
Educate patients and their families about addiction, treatment options, and recovery strategies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care and support services.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
Advocate for patients' rights and well-being, ensuring confidentiality and respecting their dignity.
Participate in ongoing education and training related to addiction medicine, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
Adhere to all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to addiction treatment and nursing practice.
