Contribute to clinical service as evidenced by expertise in clinical care. Provide specific expert consultation relative to the area of specialty. Examine patients and coordinate services for their care. Perform procedures, collect data, analyze data, and make decisions regarding patient care, including initial screening, assessment, diagnosis, prognosis, care, reassessment, and discontinuation. Formulate, maintain, support, monitor, and modify a patient-specific plan for care, treatment, and rehabilitation based on the patient's assessment. Plan and coordinate care, treatment, and rehabilitation for discharged patients. Monitor the appropriateness of therapeutic management and care to ensure that it occurs promptly. Promote patient care outcomes. Maintain detailed notes on patient treatment, dosing, and vital signs. Provide continuing care after surgery to control the level of pain relief and consciousness. Communicate continuing care instructions to specialists and nurses. Staff Anesthesiologist Requirements: * M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree * Current active medical license * Appropriate medical credentialing through CCHMC Medical Staff Services offices * Completion of all required pre-employment activities (screening, background check, badging, and orientation) * Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on the specific needs of the hiring department.
