Position SummarynnResponsible for managing the safe loading and unloading of large and overweight pieces. Safe transport of such items required of the position. The ability to rig, climb and properly tie down equipment and materials safely are a major responsibility of the job. Loading and unloading items from appropriate trailers, such as lowboy and flatbed trailers required. Accountability of the safe and timely transportation of such loads will be imperative. Travel can also be as far as our Western State locations and the likelihood of being on the road for more than one week at a time is possible but limited. Good inventory management practices are strongly desired. All maintenance and repair of the fleet will be supported by this position while traveling and while at Salisbury location. When not traveling additional duties include: all utility functions that relate to shipping, receiving and warehouse; and facility maintenance.nnRequirements HS Diploma or equivalent required 5+ years of experience of Class A CDL hauling of equipment. 3 years' experience with oversize loads preferred Strong mechanical background and working knowledge of diesel engines and tractor trailer general maintenance and repair Must be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and be able to work with minimal supervision and at high level of accountability to operational requirements Strong communication skills, both one on one and in group settings within and outside of the organization Must be willing to travel long distances and work flexible night and weekend hours when required Basic Computer skills required. Computer skills for reporting, information transfer, scheduling and mapping are mandatory. Computer skills with inventory management would be a plus Ability to operate small and large forklifts to load and unload materials will be mandatory. Overhead and yard crane experience is a major plus. Heavy equipment operating skills are a plus for quarry equipment movement
