Job Details

SUMMARY:
As our VP of Business Development, you will be responsible for the organization of sales and marketing activities.

MUST HAVES:
  • RF Microwave Technology Sales / Business Development.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop sales strategies and forecast sales volumes across all markets, customers, and product lines.
  • Report on and deliver annual order goals.
  • Direct company market requirements, including product strategy, requirements analysis, and pricing.
  • Oversee business plan development, product lifecycles, and market positioning.
  • Convert broad business strategies into actionable customer and product marketing plans.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs.
  • Establish pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to improve existing products.
  • Lead new product definitions and develop joint business plans with departments.
  • Evaluate and develop personnel to ensure functional efficiency.
  • Provide leadership in planning, designing, and implementing strategic business initiatives.
  • Define organizational vision, strategies, and tactical plans.
  • Oversee and lead the Sales and Marketing team, including hiring, performance management, and budgeting.
  • Drive organizational goals for revenue, profit, and long-term objectives, reporting to corporate management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, particularly in RF Microwave Technology.
  • At least 3 years of experience selling to space prime contractors and related markets.
  • Experience in new space LEO markets preferred.
  • Additional experience in developing non-space RF markets is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing sales organizations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and marketing goals in RF and microwave components.
  • Ability to develop and implement corporate and organizational policies.
  • Recognized leadership skills with the ability to influence across various departments and operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex issues and provide strategic direction.
  • Comprehensive understanding of functional areas, business strategies, and company goals.
  • Ability to engage and negotiate with executive-level management, both internally and externally.
