Job Details SUMMARY:
As our VP of Business Development, you will be responsible for the organization of sales and marketing activities.
MUST HAVES:
- RF Microwave Technology Sales / Business Development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop sales strategies and forecast sales volumes across all markets, customers, and product lines.
- Report on and deliver annual order goals.
- Direct company market requirements, including product strategy, requirements analysis, and pricing.
- Oversee business plan development, product lifecycles, and market positioning.
- Convert broad business strategies into actionable customer and product marketing plans.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs.
- Establish pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to improve existing products.
- Lead new product definitions and develop joint business plans with departments.
- Evaluate and develop personnel to ensure functional efficiency.
- Provide leadership in planning, designing, and implementing strategic business initiatives.
- Define organizational vision, strategies, and tactical plans.
- Oversee and lead the Sales and Marketing team, including hiring, performance management, and budgeting.
- Drive organizational goals for revenue, profit, and long-term objectives, reporting to corporate management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, particularly in RF Microwave Technology.
- At least 3 years of experience selling to space prime contractors and related markets.
- Experience in new space LEO markets preferred.
- Additional experience in developing non-space RF markets is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience leading and managing sales organizations.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and marketing goals in RF and microwave components.
- Ability to develop and implement corporate and organizational policies.
- Recognized leadership skills with the ability to influence across various departments and operations.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex issues and provide strategic direction.
- Comprehensive understanding of functional areas, business strategies, and company goals.
- Ability to engage and negotiate with executive-level management, both internally and externally.
