Four Seasons Hotel Miami is an urban oasis nestled in the residential side of Brickell surrounded by Miami’s favorite neighborhoods. The Hotel offers a relaxing two-acre pool terrace, Equinox Fitness Center & Spa, multi-million dollar art collection, an award winning steakhouse - EDGE Steak & Bar, and connects guests to Miami’s most alluring and vibrant destinations recommended by in-house experts.  

 

About The Role  

Four Seasons Hotel Miami is looking for  Host/ess  who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our employees have the opportunity to shape our guests experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service in support of our world-renowned organization.  

 

What You Will Do  

 

  • Having complete knowledge of products and specifications.

  • Knows and uses service guidelines outlined in this manual.

  • Greets guests promptly as they enter the restaurant, making a positive first impression.  Greet guests warmly with a smile, making eye contact.

  • Uses the guests’ name at all times. Knows and acknowledges all VIPs by name. 

  • Promotes the company’s high level of service standards by exhibiting friendliness, knowledge of the restaurant, and attentiveness to guests’ needs.

  • Answers phones, keeps accurate count of reservations, and handles reservation book.

  • Collects and stores menus.  Maintains the cleanliness of the menus.  Insures that all menus are current according to the most recent changes.  Replaces all menus in poor condition after making sure that replacements are available.

  • Maintains an ample supply of souvenir menus for guests to take.

  • Has complete knowledge of the floor plan, table #s and stations.

  • Monitors which tables are in use, available, and about to turnover.  Is immediately aware when tables are reset and ready for guests.  Checks for completeness of table settings.

  • Keeps an accurate count of customers.

  • Frequently checks back with guests who are waiting in the bar area to be seated.  Makes it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them.

  • Assists server by answering any questions guests may have regarding the restaurant.

  • When a guest is leaving, invite them back and use their name.

  • Performs assigned side duties.

  • Maintains a neat and orderly host area.  Constantly ensures that the entrance to the restaurant is clean. 

  • Communicates the needs of the guests to the kitchen and management. Informs management of guests’ reactions and comments. Assists management as needed to ensure smooth operation and quality service.

  • Helps promote a safe and clean environment for co-workers and guests.  Cleanliness of the restaurant is the responsibility of every employee regardless of position or department.

  • Operates as a member of a team, helping others and requesting help as needed.  Performs other restaurant duties as requested by management.

  • Follows and executes the service standards as outlined in training

 

What You Bring  

 

- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

- Oral proficiency in Spanish language is preferred. 1-2 years experience in experience in similar environment.

- Knowledge of service, guest communication, menu writing, maintenance & housekeeping, cost control in F&B and F&B accounting.

-Computer literate.

 

 

Schedule & Hours  

  • Full-Time  

  • Days / Evenings / This position requires the flexibility to work a diverse schedule encompassing days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
