Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join the culinary team at our brand-new fine dining steakhouse. As a Prep Cook, you will be essential in supporting the kitchen operations by ensuring all ingredients are properly prepared and ready for use in creating high-quality dishes. Your role will be vital to the restaurant's success, ensuring each guest experiences our steakhouse’s commitment to excellence in every meal. Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Clean, chop, slice, and measure ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and seafood according to recipes and chef specifications.
  • Set-Up & Organization: Maintain an organized and efficient workstation, ensuring all food items are prepped and ready for service.
  • Assisting Chefs: Work alongside the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to assist in cooking, plating, and presentation as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with the receiving and proper storage of food deliveries. Help monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the kitchen management team.
  • Sanitation & Safety: Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Ensure kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless and timely service for all guests.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a high-end restaurant or fine dining establishment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Culinary school training is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:
