Closing Shift Manager - Grand Brasserie, Grand Central Station
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Closing Shifts Restaurant Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional breakfast experiences in ou r soon to open 400-seat French brasserie located in Grand Central Station. This bustling establishment will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, catering to commuters, tourists and local diners alike. The ideal candidate will have a passion for French cuisine, exceptional leadership skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to close the restaurant at 2am.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all front-of-house operations during service
- Manage and train a large team of hosts, servers, and support staff to ensure excellent service
- Create and adjust staff schedules to meet the demands of peak hours and seasonal fluctuations
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests, personally greeting and seating them during busy periods
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in all dining areas
- Manage reservations and handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain food quality and consistency
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies for front-of-house operations
- Implement and maintain cash handling and POS procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume establishment
- Strong knowledge of French cuisine and wine
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late nights, weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems
Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
- High energy and stamina to manage a large, busy restaurant

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00 - $90,000.00)
