We are hiring immediately for Cutters in the Cleveland, OH plant for 1st shift. The hours are 7:15 a.m.-3:30 p.m.- Monday-Friday.
GENERAL SUMMARY : Changes, programs and operates machines to meet specific production standards. Assists the supervisor and staff in the overall operation of the cutting department. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Determines type, description, grade and basis weight of paper, die and quantity to cut. *Assembles and programs machinery. *Determines the most efficient means to cut stock leaving the least amount of waste. Checks quality. *Records and reports all damaged and/or rejected materials. *Performs preventative maintenance on machines. ADDITIONAL DEPARTMENT OR POSITION-SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: *Maintains set production standards for quality and quantity and completes production report. *Complies with safety rules and regulations; wear steel toed shoes or coverings, hearing protection, safety glasses, shields and gloves as needed, is not involved in horseplay, is cautious when near equipment and machines, maintains housekeeping in work area. *All other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (refers to job, not incumbent): Education: Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: *Required Certification (s): Must be able to become certified operate material handling equipment. Experience: Minimum: Prior manufacturing experience. Preferred: 1 year or more prior manufacturing experience. Special Skills Required: * Basic written or verbal communication skills. * Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler. REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk. The employee frequently is required to reach, bend and stoop. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Employee will constantly be performing repetitive grasping and horizontal movement. WORKING CONDITIONS (relates to physical environment): Manufacturing environment. Exposure to high production/output machinery and equipment, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc -- all materials an employee may come in contact with are detailed with readily available MSDS sheets), and constant noise. Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.
