The Role:nnWe are currently offering an excellent career opportunity for a Field Service Technician. Under the supervision of the Service & Plant Manager, your responsibilities will include answering maintenance and service calls, providing maintenance and operational training, and installing line systems and equipment. As a Field Service Technician, you will be on the front line ensuring client satisfaction and working closely with our engineering, sales, and marketing teams.nnJob Responsibilities:nnPrimarily perform service calls and commissioning at client facilities.nnConduct training on product lines in both classroom and practical/production environments.nnHandle customer service and technical support calls.nnCreate and submit timely reports on work performed.nnAssess client needs for spare parts and facilitate internally.nnPerform mechanical work such as replacing bearings and changing motors.nnTroubleshoot electrical, electromechanical, pneumatics, PLC, and programming issues.nnPerform welding and polishing tasks as required (if applicable).nnWhat Success Looks Like:nnBy 6 Months:nnHave excellent product knowledge and the ability to train on functionality.nnBe capable of performing service calls and commissioning at client facilities with minimal support.nnBy 12 Months:nnMaintain the 6-month success factors.nnBe autonomous in the rebuilding of equipment.nnFully independent in performing service calls and commissioning, as well as handling troubleshooting and machine diagnosis at client facilities.nnQualities of the Ideal Candidate:nnPositive and energetic personality.nnIndependent, autonomous, and entrepreneurial.nnAction-oriented with a quick turn-around time.nnVersatile and willing to take on new challenges.nnEffective time management skills.nnQuick learner with problem-solving abilities and initiative for improvement.nnHighly organized and detail-oriented.nnCustomer-focused with solid client-facing communication skills.nnAble to maintain a professional attitude.nnQualifications & Work Experience:nn2 to 5 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical, electromechanical, pneumatics, and mechanical equipment, with working knowledge of PLCs.nnCustomer service experience.nnProficiency in Windows XP and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.nnAbility to formulate clear and concise reports and emails suitable for client exposure.nnProficiency in English; Spanish and/or French is an asset.nnAbility to clearly communicate and speak publicly for training purposes.nnPrevious experience with food processing equipment is an asset.nnCertificates in electrical, automation, mechanical, and/or welding fabrication are an asset.nnPay and BenefitsnnThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00nn• Medical, dental & vision • Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital • 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available • Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) • Short and long-term disability • Health Spending Account (HSA) • Transportation benefits • Employee Assistance Program • Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave)nnWorkplace TypennThis is a fully onsite position in Kenosha,WI.nnApplication DeadlinennThis position will be accepting applications until Dec 28, 2024.nnAbout ActalentnnActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
