Number of positions: 1

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Department: Surgery
Shift Timings: 06:00-16:30 Hours Monday to friday. (4 Days/10 Hours )
Per Week: 40 Hours
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
  • Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
  • Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
  • Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Surgical Tech CVOR experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Tech CVOR program
  • Active unencumbered Indiana Surgical Tech state license
  • One year of Cerner experience
