DescriptionnnPRIMARY FUNCTION:nnOperates a variety of heavy equipment including Cat 308 excavators, front-end loaders, skid-steers, trackhoes, backhoes, excavators, dozers, graders and trenchers.nnTypical Duties:nnActively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”nnRepresents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."nnPerforms loading and unloading of equipment and supplies.nnPrecision positioning of equipment, lifting heavy machinery and components, as well as beams and lumber.nnWill work in a cab and use pilot operated joystick controls, pedals, levers and buttons to lift, move, and position loads using hoisting attachments, such as hooks, slings, electromagnets, and buckets.nnOperators will observe load hookup and determine safety of load and inspect and report on crane and hoisting mechanism.nnMust be careful and attentive at all times so they can follow directions closely as they will communicate with team members both verbally and by signal instruction.nnOperate equipment to dig trenches and holes of specified length, depth, and width and grade.nnBe able to work around existing underground utilities and tight areas.nnUnderstand shoring, soil classes and dewatering.nnUse equipment to remove loosened material and put in piles or transport trucks.nnIdentify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.nnPerform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.nnPHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:nnAbility to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work from elevated or uneven surfaces.nnWork involves standing and walking for extended periods of time.nnAbility to work in Confined Spaces.nnWork may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.nnWork may include occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing a minimum of 35 pounds to a maximum of 100 pounds, with assistance, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.nnRequires visual ability sufficient to perform job duties. Work normally requires eye-hand coordination.nnTravel and overtime may be required.nnSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:nnMinimum of one (3) years of mechanical, industrial or refinery maintenance experience. General knowledge of basic hand tools. Must be able to pass equipment test and visual observation of operating equipment. Complete the Matrix Service Safety training, and/or Client/Site specific training. Must Pass a Background.
