St. Mary's Medical Center is currently seeking a Part time CT Tech. Under the administrative direction of the Administrative Director-Radiology, Lead C.T. Technologist, or authorized designee and with clinical supervision from the assigned Radiologist, performs a variety of specialized technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative, to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated area and procedures as required.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree preferred. Graduate of an approved JRCERT program for Radiologic Technology. Holder of a valid and current:
- Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or be registry eligible, and;
- Licensed as required by the West Virginia State "Board" of Radiology
EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience as Staff Radiologic Technologist and work experience as a Computerized Tomography Technologist desired.
SKILLS: Uses a variety of stationary and mobile diagnostic radiation producing and imaging equipment and accessories; radiation protection and shielding materials and devices. Uses a variety of automatic film processing units. Ability to establish contact with patients who may be under physical and emotional stress. BLS required.
