Job DescriptionnnDay to Day:nnA large hospital system in Houston, TX is seeking a qualified XRay Tech to support their level 1 trauma facility in the Medical Canter. They will be a part of an innovative team with great leadership and growth opportunities. This individual will gain experience with new technologies with a variety of surgeries and patients.nnResponsibilities:nnThis position performs radiography (x-ray) examinations to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patientsnnThis position may also perform some exams in more complex modalitiesnnPerforms radiography (x-ray) exams on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures: Prepares patients for exam, obtains and records patient's vital signs, explains the procedure, administers IV and contrast when necessary, positions patients for the exam, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of the imagesnnHelps maintain appropriate patient flow and ensures delivery of quality services in the imaging departmentnnReviews incomplete exam list and unsigned report status routinelynnFunctions as a liaison between physicians, technologists and department support staffnnEnters and monitors patient data and health history as its pertinent to the exam being performednnPerforms quality assurance on radiology equipmentnnRecommends equipment modificationsnnIdentifies and helps to resolve equipment malfunctionsnnHelps schedule technologists to ensure appropriate staffing for expected patient volumennWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
