Summary: - Under the supervision of the Chief Cat Scan Technologist, Director of Radiology, Chairman, or Manager, the CT Technologist performs CAT scan imaging procedures and related techniques resulting in the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. Follows professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.
Job Description: - In this position, you will perform CT scans, also known as CAT scans.
- These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which is essential for accurate diagnostics.
- You will position patients, ensure they receive the proper dose of radionuclides and perform the imaging procedure.
- Applicants must have their license in diagnostic imaging, ARRT CT registration, and BLS certification.
Responsibilities: - Performs CT diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, in accordance and within the scope of practice and departmental standards.
- Assesses pertinent information; prepares and educates patient for procedures and expectations.
- Completes documentation of patient care and procedure.
- Utilizes the hospital and departmental information, technology systems and equipment operations.
- Maintains a level of productivity, adaptability, flexibility and timeliness in managing workload and
- processes required to meet patient care and department needs.
- Adheres to department policy and procedures, and practices modality specific safety protocols.
- Actively engages in departmental meetings,modality meetings and committee initiatives.
- Completes hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
- Participates in assignments, duties and responsibilities for continuous improvement in alignment with management and organizational goals
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certification and Licensure: - Current Hawaii State License as Radiologic Technologist
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.)
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with the Medical Staff
- Current BLS/HCP certification
Experience: - Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility; OR One (1) year experience in Radiologic Special Procedures
- Siemens CT Scanner and syngo.via experience required
