Our locations are Palo Alto, CA US, New York City, NY US, Kohler, WI US, Seoul, Korea, and Tel Aviv, Israel.nnIn your role as Firmware Engineering Manager at Kohler Ventures you willnnWork directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teams.nnFirmware Development Lifecycle Management: Oversee the firmware development process, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.nnTeam Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Firmware Engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.nnProject Management: Ensure timely delivery of firmware projects with a focus on quality and performance.nnCollaboration and Communication: Facilitate effective communication between the firmware engineering team and other departments, translating complex firmware concepts into actionable business strategies.nnQuality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing protocols to ensure firmware reliability and performance.nnSkills/RequirementsnnBachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.nn5+ years of experience in Firmware design and development for embedded platforms or in a similar role.nnSignificant experience in firmware development with a proven track record of leading firmware projects.nnDeep understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and hardware interfaces.nnProficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and assembly.nnExperience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware debugging tools.nnAvailability to work outside of standard business hours if needed to be able to collaborate with teams across multiple time zones.nnAbility to travel 10% of time both domestically and internationally if needed.nnPreferred QualificationsnnExceptional communication and interpersonal skills.nnExpertise in the firmware development lifecycle, including best practices for design, testing, and maintenance.nnFamiliarity with various communication protocols (e.g., MIPI, SPI, I2C, UART).nnKnowledge of power management techniques and optimization for embedded systems.nnStrong ability to communicate complex technical and management information clearly and concisely.nn#LI-NR1nn#LI-HybridnnWe will consider applicants requiring sponsorship for this opportunity.nnThe approved base salary range for this position is $135,250 - $172,800 The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 16% of base salary for the NYC metro area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $156,890 - $ 200,448 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive.
