Job Title: Technologist
Job Specialty: MRI
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day - 5x8 - 9am - 5pm
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per week
Experience: 2+ years of current MRI experience required
License: Temporary NH MIRT license in effect; must possess an out-of-state Imaging license to obtain temporary license
Certifications: ARRT(MR) - Required
Must-Have: Proficiency in using Siemens equipment - Preferred; Associate's Degree minimum; Previous travel experience - Preferred
Job Description:
- Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures under the clinical direction of a Radiologist and administrative guidance.
- Review patients' medical records for history and pertinent information, and discuss requisition with the physician.
- Explain MRI procedures to patients and select proper techniques/protocols to obtain optimal scans.
- Review studies for overall quality and ensure compliance to be 100% completed 7 days prior to the start date.
- Organize daily work schedule and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Perform daily calibration checks on equipment and alert service to any issues.
- Provide instruction to medical and hospital staff on MRI safety.
- Must have 2 separate supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment at the time of submission, with 3 total required during onboarding.
- Compliance with required vaccinations, with exemptions subject to approval for religious or medical reasons.
