The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and ensuring the security of databases to support critical applications, leveraging extensive experience in MongoDB, Kubernetes, and related technologies. This role requires hands-on experience in database performance tuning, security enhancement, and containerization, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a global team.nKey Responsibilities:nnSupport and manage MongoDB clusters critical for eBay applications.nEnsure database security by addressing all vulnerabilities and adhering to eBay's security standards.nMonitor database clusters to preemptively identify and resolve potential issues.nDevelop tools for data migration from MongoDB to PostgreSQL.nCollaborate with the application team to resolve incidents and participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.nnMust-Have Skills:nnStrong understanding of MongoDB architecture and database management (deployment, maintenance, backup/restore).nProficient in database performance tuning and optimization for MongoDB.nExperience with Kubernetes for application and database containerization.nnIndustry Experience:nPreference for candidates with experience in large-scale, distributed database platforms, particularly those servicing high-transaction environments.nABOUT AKRAYAnAkraya is an award-winning IT staffing firm consistently recognized for our commitment to excellence and a thriving work environment.
