EEG Technologist I - EMU
Summa Health - Akron City Campus
Full-Time / 36 Hours / Day Shift (3/12's)
Hire On Incentive - $10,000

Summary :
Performs Video Long Term Monitoring (LTM) EEG examinations in the EMU unit, at the patient's bedside and Intensive Care Units.
Formal Education Required:
-Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program OR Associate's Degree in Allied Health or Natural Sciences OR training in a 2 year Neurodiagnostic educational program Or be ABRET registry with related credential (R.EEG T. CNIM,CLTM, R.EP T., etc)
Experience & Training Required :
-One (1) year experience as a EEG Technologist working in Neurodiagnostics.
-ABRET registry with R.EEG T. credentials preferred
-CPR/BLS certification
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
-Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, health care personnel, patients, families, and visitors.
-Ability to calibrate and operate equipment, properly position patients.
-Ability to utilize computer system and file system to facilitate patient records management as directed.
-Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy.
-Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
Level of Physical Demands:
-Extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
-Ability to assist with positioning and transporting patients, i.e., pushing beds, carts, and wheelchairs.
-Ability to maneuver equipment and motor coordination to operate equipment.
