Demonstrates successful patient/technical skills by producing a variety of procedures while maintaining the high standards of patient care. Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements of staff if applicable. Preserves support for the learning environment of the hospital and the department of diagnostic imaging. Contributes to the successful operations of the department through effective communication, coordination and leadership. Collaborates effectively with co-workers within the department and throughout the institution to ensure that assignments are completed in a professional and effective manner with a positive attitude. Technologist is capable of assuming the responsibility of supervisor in the absence of the supervisor. Displays a commitment to the hospital's mission and values. Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics. Coordinates or assists with all ACR/ODH and Joint Commission duties to ensure yearly inspections and constant compliance with ACR/ODH and Joint Commission standards per site requirements. Images patients in their area (s) of credentialing/licensure Education of staff and physicians in equipment operations Adheres to hospital CT safety standards Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment Provides mentorship to and/or precept Jr staff and students. Participates in committees and/or projects as needed. Ability to act as a lead when supervisor is unavailable. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned.
