Summary Perform repair work by traveling to assigned site locations. Troubleshoot problems specializing in refuse and environmental equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities - Responsible for the service and repair of all refuse equipment.
- Testing and repairing equipment by traveling to the location of the customer.
- Provide troubleshooting and performing installation of equipment.
- Attending to the needs of the customer whenever required.
- Provide confirmation that equipment is functional.
- Provide telephone support to the customer in order to perform troubleshooting.
- Follow through to ensure equipment is in proper working condition after performing troubleshooting.
Qualifications Qualifications
- Must be willing to travel within an assigned territory.
- Must be dependable.
- Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written.
- Must assume responsibility for high quality of repair process.
- Must have the ability to work independently or with less supervision
- Should have excellent verbal communication skills
- Must have the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to manage service calls
Education and/or Experience - High School Diploma or GED
- Clean driving record with or able to obtain a Class B non-exempt CDL driver license
- Knowledge of repair principles and procedures in all areas of the Heavy Truck RepairIndustry
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - ASE Heavy Truck Certifications are a plus
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk stairs and/or climb ladders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
