Our 2nd shift schedule is Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1:00a.m. The shift incentive includes a 10% -15% premium, paid lunch, 3 day weekends, and eligibility to transfer to 1st shift after 3 years. JOB SUMMARY This position requires advanced knowledge of aircraft cabinets and interior installations. The job involves leading the modification, repair, refurbishment, and fabrication of aircraft cabinets. The job includes varying amounts of parts replacement or repair, basic electrical system installation, and general mechanical applications. Ability to evaluate and adjust on modifications essential. Training and maintaining workflow will be essential. Job duties will vary by type and scope, as designed by the Interior Supervisor. Will be required to work independently. This position is 1st shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Independently manage cabinet modifications and installations by communicating with Interior Supervisor and various other departmental staff, determining flow for completing assignments.
- Perform quality checks, supervise and assign personnel on daily activities
- Perform training, coaching, and mentoring of team members to develop cabinet techs' job knowledge and performance. Prepare and delivery annual evaluations of assigned team members.
- Assist with engineering and design techniques for major modification projects.
- Completely removes, repairs, and modifies aircraft cabinets with little or no supervision.
- Without direction completely performs minor modifications and performs major modifications with little or no supervision. Work independently on projects when required.
- Perform daily turnover sheets, work order processes, and weight and balance data
- Attend incoming debriefs.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling when required.
- Assist with training to ensure job knowledge and performance of interior cabinet personnel.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or equivalent.
Supervisory training classes preferred.
Experience 5 - 6 years experience on aircraft cabinets preferred.
2 - 3 years of heavy modification experience preferred.
1 - 3 years supervisory experience preferred
Initiative Self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.
Able to process work with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar or shop area.
Work in aircraft on-ramp on occasion.
Varied positions in and around the aircraft.
Equipment Used Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.
Electrical power tools such as sanders, saws, power drills, etc.
Sheet metal cutters, glue guns, and metal benders.
Tugs, power carts, and other engine-powered equipment.
