The Upholstery Associate will also receive customer orders, work on customer repairs, as well as create inventory for the annual Barn Sale.nnEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)nnAbility to cut fabrics consisting of all materials, make swatches, as well as sew patternsnUpholster tuffets, setting seats, benches and dining chairsnMake pillows and cushions, as well as add trims to furniturenAbility to lift bolts of fabric and move furniture as needednBasic maintenance of sewing machine and department equipmentnAbility to use power tools on a consistent basisnConduct Inventory Analysis of DepartmentnCreate inventory for Barn SalenReceive customer orders as well as work on customer repairsnAnswer phone calls in a timely fashionnCross-train in other departmentsnnSupervisory Responsibilities:nnThis position does not have any supervisory duties.nnQualificationsnnEducation and Experience:nnHigh school diploma or GEDnOne to three years of upholstery experience is desirednnSpecial Requirements:nnAbility to work shift work and overtime on a regular basis.nLocation: Aurora, NYnnKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:nnAbility to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.nAttention to detail.nRequires organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.nThe employee must understand the proper way to deal with external expectations.nnEquipment Used:nnComputer, printer, photocopier, pallet jack, forklift, and various hand and power toolsnComputer Software: Microsoft Outlook,nSafety Equipment: Safety ShoesnnPhysical and Mental Requirements:nnAbility to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, crouch, kneel, bend, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.nExerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.nModerate mental and visual attention required for performing manual work, machine operations, set-ups, inspections, and adjustments that require frequent decisions to detect and adjust for variance from proper operation.nnEnvironmental Conditions:nWork is performed in a typical office environment where there is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.nnMacKenzie-Childs is an EEO employer and dedicated to fair hiring practices.nnMinimum Salary: 19.00 Maximum Salary: 21.00 Salary Unit: Hourly
