Summary of Job Duties:The Radiology Technician is responsible for maintaining and using equipment and supplies that image portions of the human body on x-ray film or fluoroscopic screens. This position is governed by state and federal law and agency policy.Qualifications:

Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology

Responsibilities:
Operates and positions radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes and according to exam specifications, following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by escorting patients to x-ray rooms, providing verbal instructions, and assisting patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed; explains procedures and observes patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during scan.
Serves as a back-up for clinical team members, as needed, by controlling patient flow and triaging.
Maintains working order of radiologic equipment including reporting equipment malfunctions and scheduling regular maintenance.
Reviews patient records and imports external images into the picture archiving and communication system (PACS).
Performs other duties as assigned.
