Fabric Cutter t o work in our
Vista, CA l ocation. Hooker Furnishings Corporation, in its 100th year of business, is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture, and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets.
We are looking for a dependable individual with a great attention to detail to join our Production team as a
Fabric Cutter . This candidate will maintain our fabric area and work independently to complete the following duties:
- Operate electric cutting knife to cut fabric parts to fabricate upholstery coverings
- Ability to cut multiple layers of heavy textile fabrics
- Follow pattern templates
- Recognize and cut fabrics with patterns and prints
- Ability to read and understand written work order labels to ensure proper cut
- Use measuring skills to create new cutting templates
- Use independent thinking to place template to achieve highest yield of cut fabric
Candidates that will be a great fit will: - Enjoy fast paced and independent work.
- Be able to work standing up for entire shift and move quickly from one work station to another.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Have previous experience in a production environment.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Experience with mobile scanning device preferred

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm. During high season schedule some Saturday work is required.
Pay Range: $ 19.00-$21.00 per hour
with potential to earn production bonus.
