Bobby Wilt Plumbing and Electrical is currently hiring a dependable and friendly invidual for a Secretary/Bookkeeper position.nnResponsibilities:nnMaintain financial transaction records by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal compliance.nDevelop a chart of accounts that defines bookkeeping policies and procedures.nMaintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.nPrepare financial statements, such as ledgers, income statements, and balance sheets.nUtilize the appropriate accounting software to manage and automate financial tasks when relevant.nAssist with creating budgets, financial forecasts, and quarterly reports.nCollect, analyze, and summarize data for tax forms according to local and federal mandates.nContribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.nnQualifications:nnKnowledge of and ability to learn essential accounting software.nFamiliarity with spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis tools.nA general understanding of the main accounting principles, such as accruals and revenue.nStrong attention to detail and level of accuracy.nEffective verbal and written communication skills.nCapable of spotting and resolving discrepancies.nKnowledge of relevant tax requirements and how to prepare basic tax documentation.nnEducation and Requirements:nnBachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldnCPA is a plusnPrevious bookkeeping experience preferred
