Job Description
Job Title: OR Technologist
Job Specialty: Surgical Technologist, Scrub Tech
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Varied (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a large operating room
License: Active scrub tech certification
Certifications: BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)
Must-Have: Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment
Job Description:
- Comply with a 75-mile straight-line radius rule for travelers.
- Candidates must be aware of their submission to our facility.
- Active scrub tech certification required.
- Two references required, including one from a current manager.
- Must have experience in Ortho, ENT, and/or vascular surgery; being a team player and flexible in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts with potential on-call, holiday, and weekend duty.
- Travelers are the first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles.
- No holiday time-off requests will be approved for travelers.
- Experience on EPIC system during the first week of orientation (not exceeding 40 hours).
- Previous employment within the healthcare system within the last 12 months is not eligible for this travel position.
- State tax information will be handled by your agency.
- Accurate entry of social security number and date of birth is crucial to avoid onboarding issues.
Please note traveling pairs may not have the same schedules or shifts. Requests for time off must be submitted during the initial application phase to be considered.
