Performs interventional diagnostic procedures which are complex and elaborate in order to assist the physician in the diagnosis of injury and/or disease.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology Technology.
2. Must haveWest VirginiaStatelicense.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Twelve (12) months of coronary intervention experience required for CardiacCathdepartment only.

1. Prepares and explains exams to patients.
2. Performs all exams that pertain to specialty area.
3. Maintains proper radiation protection for all patients as established by set guidelines, when appropriate.
4. Maintains current knowledge procedures in specialty area in order to perform assigned duties.
5. Assists physicians during specialty exams.
6. Maintains all records of needed service of equipment.
7. Upon completion of exam, all paperwork is finished that deals withpatient.
8. Cognizant of environmental factors, infection control issues andmaintains a safe environment for patient care.
9. Participates in self-evaluation and develops a plan for professionaldevelopment based on personal / unit goals /strategic plans.
10. Participates in the education / oversight oforientees, ancillarystaff, and students in collaboration with the preceptor, manager, and/or designated education coordinator.
11. Active on selected committees for the purpose of exchanging informationand participating in problem solving methods.
12. Arranges own knowledge base and development by attending formal and/orinformal educational activities.
13. Assists in identifying problems for investigation, collecting datafor research projects and applying current concepts to patientcare.
