Inside and Outside plantnnUse a variety of connector types and terminate to industry standardsnnTerminate indoor and outdoor fiber using the appropriate methods and following industry standardsnnTesting copper and fiber using industry approved testers. Knowledge of setting up testing units and downloading results as requirednnInstallation of various types of pathways related to running horizontal and backbone cablesnnStrong knowledge of troubleshooting cable plant and associated equipmentnnComplete detailed documents of work performed and provide daily status updatesnnGeneral Responsibilities for each LeadnnAbility to train and mentor junior technicians on installations standards and methods, as well as company related requirementsnnWork within time and budget restraintsnnProvide site supervision of the installation team with direction from the Senior Tech or Project ManagernnThe ability to perform close-out documentation procedures as well as daily/weekly company documentation requirementsnnAbility to procure materials collaboratively through Operations/Project Management for project related needsnnCrew Safety training and PPE assignment required to meet or exceed customer, industry, GC, and local jurisdiction requirementsnnAlways Promote a strong culture of Health and SafetynnRead and interpret electronic schematics, installation drawings and architectural blueprintsnnAssist with basic mechanical fabrication, as necessary.nnOther duties may be assigned.nnKnowledge of:nnConstructability and the construction processnnMS Office Software and other misc. computer programsnnBlueprint drawings and how it applies to the project.nnReading blueprint drawingsnnWiring diagramsnnSchematicsnnLow voltage systemsnnBasic network principlesnnBasic technology principles and standardsnnSkill in:nnEffective ListeningnnSpeaking intelligentlynnActing as a self-starternnSpatial orientationnnVisualizing the constructability of an estimatennIdentifying scope gaps in construction documentsnnPositive Customer InteractionsnnEstimating the necessary resources needed to complete required tasks.nnAdapting to new and changing requirements, environments, and/or informationnnAssist and manage people and processes.nnUsing construction softwarennEffective written and oral communication sufficient to be able to elicit and communicate information and achieve understanding.nnPhysical Requirements:nnA functional physical is required to be completed and passed before work can be performed in all field positions.
