CT Scan Technologist
Unit Name: Imaging Services
Specialty: CT
General Information:
  • Experience Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience required.
  • First-time travelers are welcome.
Patient Types:
  • High trauma incidents, including MVAs, falls, stabbings, and GSWs.
  • Scanning for ED, inpatient, and outpatient departments.
Scan Volume:
  • ED: 60-70 scans/24 hrs.
  • Inpatient: Varies.
  • Outpatient: 50 scans/day.
Equipment:
  • Siemens CT scanners, 4 machines in use.
Required Certifications:
  • ARRT-CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
Education:
  • Graduate of a Radiology Program eligible for ARRT (R) and (CT) certification.
Skills:
  • CTA experience is preferred.
  • Experience in similar-sized facilities is a plus.
Charting System:
  • EPIC preferred.
Floating:
  • No.
Orientation:
  • 2-week orientation period.
Support:
  • 24/7 CT Tech support available.
Scheduling:
  • Primarily night shifts with rotating weekends.
  • Overtime available, no on-call.
  • Holiday rotations required.
Additional Info:
  • Scrubs: Black or provided.
  • Free parking available.
