Network Engineer- 100% Remote- Palo Alto/Azure/SDWAN

Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team. This engineer will be working in a fast paced, project based environment. They will serve as a senior escalation point for network troubleshooting and diagnosis issues while playing a key part in 2025 initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Help in a firewall upgrade project utilizing Palo Alto firewalls
• Configuration, deployment, troubleshooting and upgrading of firewalls (mostly Palo Alto in this role)
• Utilize cloud networking in Azure (Vnets, subnets, Express route, Azure firewall, etc.)
• Utilizing Cisco equipment for implementing, designing, and monitoring/management of data center network and infrastructure for multiple sites
• Understanding of WAN network and establishing new sites/processes
• Ability to work independently but also in a collaborative team setting remotely

• Strong Palo Alto firewall experience-set up, deployment, management, troubleshooting, etc
• Cloud networking experience in a public cloud environment- Azure preferred
• SDWAN solution experience (doesn't have to be a certain vendor)
• Strong Cisco route/switch experience- Catalyst, Nexus, and BGP as primary routing protocol
• Experience working independently to perform network troubleshooting and diagnosis
• Experience working in a data center & cloud infrastructure network environment
