Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.nnJob DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an Principal /Sr. Principal Mission Assurance Engineer to provide leadership to our Safety & Mission Assurance Teams working in our Promontory, Utah offices. Role description & Responsibilities: The Mission Assurance Engineer is responsible to focus on developing, establishing and maintaining Mission Assurance policies and procedures, processes and controls thereby ensuring both performance and quality of manufactured products conform to established company, international (AS9100), and governmental requirements, as well as lasting customer satisfaction. This role will support the Nozzle Value Stream.nnUnderstand the design intent, failure modes, requirements and specifications of the product as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls, statistics, SPC, and quality inspections.nnProvide expertise and guidance in interpreting governmental regulations, agency guidelines and internal policies/proceduresnnAssure compliance and will serve as liaison between Promontory S&MA and various other organizations including some government agencies.nnWork directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, statistical process control analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements, meet specifications, and improve processing. Skills & Qualifications:nnStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in team environmentsnnProven technical aptitude and ability to problem solve complex technical issuesnnProven ability to multi-task (i.e. manage several projects at one time)nnExcellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal) Education/Experience/RequirementsnnLevel 3: Requires 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhDnnLevel 4: Require 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhDnnSalary Range: $95,300 - $142,900nnSalary Range 2: $118,600 - $178,000nnThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.nnEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
