Volt is immediately hiring for a Project Manager in Spokane, WA.
As a Project Manager you will:
- Responsible for working with the customer to elicit or refine requirements in order to write the Order Specification Document (OSD) for an unambiguous description of the core machinery, custom machinery, or aftermarket sale’s technical requirements. The OSD must be reviewed with the appropriate Pearson personnel, to ensure endorsement of the core machinery, custom machinery, or aftermarket purchased.
- Manage the overall success of the project by ensuring that core machinery, custom machinery, or aftermarket are delivered -time, within scope, and within budget by developing a detailed project plan with phase gating to monitor and track the project schedule, cost, and scope throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Successfully manage the relationship with the customer from purchase order through core machinery or aftermarket commissioning. Conduct regular project status meetings with your customers.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects by coaching, motivating, mentoring, and supervising project team members and third parties/vendors, and influencing them to take proactive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the project. Report on the project for executive management and sponsors. Proactively identify and resolve issues. Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project. Report and escalate to executive management as needed.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor a risk register to ensure risks are highlighted early with the project and create an appropriate mitigation plan to address the risk.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Ensure all project information is appropriately documented, shared, and secured. Conduct project post mortems and create recommendation reports in order to identify best practices and lessons learned.
This is a full time opportunity.
Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour
The ideal candidate will have:
- Innate capability to create order out of chaos in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, fluid environment with ever-changing priorities.
- Capable of working on concurrent projects and able to communicate clearly and effectively to executive and business audiences. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Demonstrated desire to do whatever it takes to get things done.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an Accredited University Required plus a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in a environment is preferred
- Working knowledge of project methodologies.
- PMP certification and/or ongoing PMP education required
