The Director of Total Rewards is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of comprehensive total rewards program that align employee rewards with our organizational culture and business results. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the successful candidate will create compensation and benefits programs that attract top talent while motivating, engaging, rewarding, and ultimately, retaining our high-performing teammates.
This is a critical and highly visible position, partnering directly with our C-Suite and leaders across the entire portfolio of Lion Holdings’ companies including Valuetainment Media, Bet-David Consulting, and Minnect. The Director of Total Rewards advises business leaders on best practices for total rewards processes, is the primary point of contact for our teammates regarding our total rewards programs, and continuously evaluates the effectiveness of our rewards programs.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct our organization's compensation and benefits department's policies, objectives, and initiatives
- Develop and manage the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of our organization's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures
- Ensure compensation and benefits programs remain within budgetary constraints
- Monitor trends and provide recommendations for improvements
- Create policies and initiatives to ensure compensation and benefits programs follow all legal and organizational rules and guidelines
- Oversee compensation processes, including survey participation, job evaluation, job classification, salary structure development, base pay administration, incentive plan design and analysis
- Manage benefits planning and programs including health and welfare, retirement, and work life
- Select and manage outsourced providers as necessary
- Ensure project/department goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field (or equivalent experience); Graduate degree preferred
- 5+ experience as Compensation Manager or in a similar role, demonstrating knowledge of Compensation and Benefits principles and practices
- 2+ years supporting Executive Compensation, Incentive Programs, Health and Welfare Benefits, Retirement Benefits, and Work Life Programs required
- Professional HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, AI + HR, Total Rewards Specialty) a plus
- Familiarity with Benefits Administration Software, Compensation Management Software, and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) required
- Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements required
- Prior exposure to or responsibility for Benefits Program Design and Compensation Program Design preferred
- Previous experience in Vendor Management preferred
- Previous experience managing budgets preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Must be able to manage, prioritize, and deliver multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) across all levels and functions, including the ability to influence and negotiate
- Must have prior experience presenting complex information to executive teams and Boards of Directors
- Must be responsive and operate with urgency, thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment, and be comfortable operating in ambiguity
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Compensation: Salary, Performance-Based Bonus, Comprehensive Benefits Package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above. THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE.
