Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Location: Maitland, FL - 100% in office

Duration: 12-month contract to hire

Hourly Rate: $35-45/hr

Benefits: H/D/V

Job Description:

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our project management team on various projects. The APM will coordinate and act as a liaison among clients, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved within the prescribed timeframe and budget. This role offers the opportunity to manage smaller, less complex projects independently while assisting on larger projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support design and/or engineering procurement construction (EPC) projects.
  • Assist with RFP package development, bid processes, and creating detailed scopes of work.
  • Manage contractor submittals, RFIs, design instructions, and site drawing logs.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and material management standards.
  • Manage contracts, including change orders, invoices, and schedules.
  • Assist with project controls, including cost reporting, scheduling, and tracking project progress.
  • Develop internal and external reports on budgeting, cash flow forecasts, and project status.
  • Participate in risk reviews and consult with legal teams as needed.
  • Handle project and contract closeout documentation.
  • Promote and adhere to safety programs and policies.

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field OR 5 years of applicable experience.
  • Experience:
  • With a Bachelor’s degree: 3-5 years of experience.
  • With an Associate degree: 3-7 years of experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with project management information systems (PMIS).
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, demanding environments, including occasional overtime.
  • Team-oriented with collaborative skills to work effectively in a multi-discipline environment.

Work Environment:

This position is in-office, 5 days a week . No remote or hybrid options are available.
