What You Will Do:

As a Professional Engineer leading our new North Florida team, you will play a critical role in establishing and growing our office, while driving the design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for both public and private clients. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading project design and coordination: Drive the development of transportation and municipal projects from design through implementation, ensuring high-quality outcomes and meeting client expectations.
  • Building and growing a new team: Be a key leader in hiring, mentoring, and developing talent for the new office, creating a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other groups and disciplines within the company to deliver integrated, top-quality solutions for our clients.
  • Project management: Perform design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation. Oversee and mentor EITs and Technicians to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Client engagement: Participate in client meetings, present concepts, and manage project schedules, budgets, and proposals.
  • Expansion and growth: As you build the team and grow the office, you will have the opportunity to direct and coordinate multiple projects, expand client relationships, and help shape the strategic direction of WSB's presence in North Florida.

What You Will Bring:

The successful candidate will bring:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or similar degree) from an accredited school.
  • 4-7 years of experience in Transportation/Municipal engineering or related fields, with a strong foundation in roadway and utility design.
  • Strong technical expertise in design software packages, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and HydroCAD.
  • A Florida PE license or the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for leadership and team development.
  • A desire to build and grow a new office, with the ability to foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven culture.
