The opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Architect to join our company. The Security Architect will be responsible for designing secure systems and frameworks and providing expert guidance to ensure that security is built into our software products and IT infrastructure. This role will focus on strategy, design, and collaboration, working closely with development, DevOps, and IT teams to ensure compliance with security standards and mitigate potential risks.

What you'll be doing

  • Create and define secure architectures for applications, systems, and networks, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational needs.
  • Advise and collaborate with development, Product, IT, and DevOps teams to ensure security integration from initial design to deployment.
  • Engage in risk assessments, identify company-wide security gaps, and develop targeted mitigation plans based on maturity models.
  • Establish security guidelines and frameworks for consistent and reliable security practices.
  • Provide architectural guidance for securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and ensuring proper security controls for cloud-native applications.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in information security, with a focus on architecture and design.
  • Expertise in security architecture frameworks, application security, and secure network design.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, threat modeling, and security best practices.
  • Expertise in cloud security principles and best practices for securing cloud environments (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS - Ordered by priority), including the design of secure architectures, identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and robust cloud network security configurations (e.g., VPCs, security groups, and firewall policies)
  • Working knowledge of security compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.

You might also have

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide security guidance to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or AWS Certified Security Specialty are a plus.
