POSITION PURPOSE:This role is a skilled and motivated Media Manager entrusted to lead our day-to-day paid media efforts. This role has a deep understanding of media planning, excellent communication skills, the ability to execute impactful campaigns aligned with brand & business objectives, and proven experience in multi-unit restaurant or retail settings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Media Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute a media strategy aligned with business and marketing objectives on a national and local level.
- Manage media budgets, ensuring cost-efficient ad placements and maximizing ROI across platforms.
- Optimize our advertising strategy to ensure a balanced marketing funnel that achieves return on ad-spend objectives.
- Lead the design and implementation of our SEO strategy in close partnership with our Creative, Digital Platforms lead and IT team.
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing experimental opportunities for working media dollars.
- Campaign Management:
- Oversee the development, execution, and optimization of media campaigns, including paid social, digital, third-party marketplaces, and traditional media.
- Manage annual multi-million dollar media budget.
- Content Coordination:
- Work with creative teams to ensure all assets align with brand messaging and resonate with target audience.
- Review and approve campaigns in partnership with media agency.
- Project Management and Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for media agencies and vendors, providing direction and ensuring timely execution of media plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure teams are informed and to identify opportunities to collect feedback, align vision and monitor success.
- Insights, Analytics, and Performance Monitoring:
- Leverage consumer insights to define and reach key demographic and psychographic targets effectively.
- Identify key performance indicators and regularly report on the success of media initiatives to stakeholders.

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and/or experience required.
Education/Work Experience:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a media planning role, ideally within the restaurant or hospitality industry with an emphasis on multi-unit concepts. Agency experience preferred. Proven track record of developing and executing successful media campaigns. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate media and strategy to diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decision-making.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Proficiency in ad-platforms.
- Experience with traditional, digital, third-party marketplace, and social media platforms.
- Experience with building and implementing SEO strategy.
- Strong understanding of impacting the marketing funnel through paid advertising.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for optimization per platform.
- Experience with AI technologies and their application in paid is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners.
- Ability to prioritize and plan work assignments and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
- Must be willing and able to travel locally within Southern California and to out-of-state restaurant locations, as needed by car or airplane.
- Ability to work at the Support Center consistent with the hybrid work policy.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and plan work assignments and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
- Ability to work at the Support Center consistently as needed or directed by supervisor or company policy (which is currently a hybrid policy, subject to change).

The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria.
