We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our R&D FP&A team. This role will primarily support our Engineering organization.
Responsibilities - Work closely with various leads and team members across Engineering, Finance, and other cross-functional support organizations such as Talent Acquisition and People Analytics.
- Actively participate in the annual planning, recurring forecasting cycles, and month-end close processes, providing valuable insights and analysis for the Engineering org.
- Develop and hone your business partner skills by collaborating with members of the businesses you support, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.
- Track and analyze operating expenses and headcount across the Engineering org, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring accurate forecasting.
- Hold business partners accountable to their budget, providing support and guidance to improve financial discipline and forecast accuracy.
- Identify and implement process improvements for reporting and other financial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support strategic initiatives such as software expense reviews and other cost-saving measures, providing detailed financial analysis and recommendations.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within an R&D or technical environment
- 2+ years of experience financial modeling and utilizing data analysis tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to influence business partners and drive strategic financial decisions.
- Experience with financial systems and tools such as Oracle, Hyperion, or similar.
- Deep understanding of accounting concepts
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
- Diligent with attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and can adapt well to change
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstration of critical thinking, ability to question the output of a financial model and consider options for improvement
- Proactive, results-oriented, with a can-do attitude when meeting critical deadlines

The pay range for this role is [$86,000 to $140,000]. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
