RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides coordination, development and management of strategic transformational processes/projects and initiatives (e.g. energy transition, digitalization, sustainability).
  • Initiate and lead process designs for gas processing and separation, green hydrogen and carbon capture applications.
  • Leverage technical and subject-matter expertise to strategically develop new value oriented and market differentiable solutions in Sustainability and Energy Transition space.
  • Develop thought-leadership in key business areas through participation in relevant industry exhibitions and conferences as well as national and international programs.
  • Engage with internal and external customers to understand project technical roadmap and deploy winning technical solutions.
  • Engage with other Advanced Gas Processing team members to understand external and internal client's project requirements.
  • Provide feedback and improvement suggestions to product development and product application teams.
  • Work with other process technology group piers to gauge equipment sizing and cost estimates for the overall techno feasibility of the project.
  • Provide technical expertise in core process engineering disciplines (P&ID, PFD, Process Simulations, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, selection) & prepare process documentation.
  • Present technical solutions and findings for new and existing technologies to management teams and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the preparation of cost estimates of pilot projects for feasibility studies, basic engineering, detail design and construction.
  • Present technical solutions and findings for new and existing technologies to management teams and external stakeholders.
  • Technology and business scouting: Leverage existing deep-relationships in academia, start-up, investors and green-energy institutions, to identify new business opportunities for technology acquisitions and future collaborations. Develop new business and technology relationships for the same


REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have:
  • Bachelor degree, in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
  • 7+ years of chemical process technology experience strongly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals, manufacturing, operations, standard industry practices, regulatory issues as well as cost and schedule management as they relate to capital investments in the Process Industry.
  • Field experience with industrial process equipment - design, fabrication, construction and/or operation experience of such equipment is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, improvisation, coordination, and organization skills.
  • Proven human relation skills with emphasis on oral and written communication, decision making and needs a high degree of creativity, foresight and a mature judgement.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite products such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Ability to work with a remote team with hybrid schedules.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%


Preferred:
  • MS in ChE or ME or equivalent degree (e.g. MBA) is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of gas separation and treatment processes.
  • Hands-on experience with gas analytics.
  • Prior experience in managing cost and schedule for small to large scale process pilot plants is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience leading projects as a program or project manager is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with process simulation software (Promax, Hysis, Aspen Plus, etc) is preferred.
  • Prior relationships with sustainable process technology developers and stakeholders (universities, start-ups, accelerators, cleantech investors, large companies etc.) is a plus.
