Refresh and Grow your Career with Us!Job OverviewThe Manager, Leave Management is a leader of the benefits team within the corporate Human Resources Group of Total Rewards and subject matter expert on all types of leaves and holds a critical role in overseeing and managing all aspects of leave programs within the organization. This position is responsible for interpreting standards in regulation and operating the end-to-end leave process (including return-to-work) and applicable policies for employees, the employee benefit procedures during an employee's LOA, escalations, and requests from HRBPs and/or the Third-Party Administrators. Leave plans and policies include, but are not limited to, Short Term Disability (STD), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Military (USERRA), Employer Sponsor paid and unpaid LOAs, Interactive Process for Accommodation requests and State Leave laws across the Company. This position is responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of processes / systems and may demonstrate innovative influence within LOA specific projects that has impact multiple departments including Workers Compensation.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesTeam Management and Leadership (40%) :
- Leads employees and provides development and direction for team projects
- Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
- Ensures LOA policies, practices, and procedures (including return-to-work) are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.
Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Management (30%):
- Audit Third-Party Administrator's (TPA) end-to-end leave process, including applicable State Leaves, FMLA time tracking, FMLA notification / compliance, ADA interactive processes and compliance, and payroll files.
- Act as a liaison between TPA and HR to resolve complex payroll and leave inquiries and escalations and provide guidance on established processes both during leave and at return-to-work.
- Access TPA's system(s) to research issues and provide in-depth responses and training to HR and People Leaders.
Communication and Collaboration (20%) :
- Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, which may include internal customers/ stakeholders, and external customers or vendors. This will include accountability for internal reporting, and ADA document management systems.
Compliance and Training (10%) :
- Act as the main point of contact to deliver ongoing training and education to HR regarding the TPA's portal, leave, and ADA processes.
- Perform planned/impromptu investigations and audits to ensure and/or maintain EEO/AA/OFCCP or Federal/State employment law compliance in practice as it related to leave management practices. This role will have opportunity to influence policies and procedures relating to leave management practices.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding ADA, FMLA, Military, and company leave policies for Parental, Personal, Administrative and WC leaves required and may also include union contract requirements.
- Full understanding of LTD and STD plan designs and pay structure preferred
- Payroll experience preferred, specifically in SAP and Dimensions timekeeping system
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
- Experience using SAP, Kronos, and other HRIS or payroll system preferred
- Travel (10% or more)

Minimum Qualifications - Minimum of 7 years of work-related experience in HR, Benefits, Payroll and Leave Administration experience, including an understanding payroll of STD/paid leave claims processing preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a people leader required
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelors or Associates degree in Human Resources or related field
- Certification as a Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) preferred
